TICK is a card/board game that was invented back in 1982. For many years it was played by friends and family all over the world. It was passed from one TICKER to another. Although there has been minor changes and enhancements to the original game format over the years, the original rules and format is basically the same as the 1982 version. The name TICK comes from “Taking a TICK”, which is one of the most strategic parts of the game. In the early years, instead of using TICK CHIPS, the players would put a TICK with a pen or pencil under the person’s name. We felt it would be easier if each person got TICK CHIPS and turned them in when they took a TICK. (This is explained in detail under the rules)
What we found was TICK is a real family game. Not just the moms and dads, but the children, grand parents, and family friends. Teens love the game and even put down their phones while playing. Can you believe it, no texting and surfing and emailing.
We play TICK on all our camping and fishing trips, family get togethers and meeting new neighbours and friends. We are proud Canadians, living in Stratford Ontario. One of North Americas most beautiful cities.
